Link iPhone to iPad

You can’t connect iPhone to iPad directly with a cable. However you can set up wireless connection between them. For example, you can link iPhone to iPad through Wi-Fi, you can also connect iPhone to iPad through personal hotspot. Apple also claims that you can connect iPhone and iPad via Bluetooth, many users find it does not work though.

In this article we will show you how to link iPhone to iPad through your local Wi-Fi. To set up the wireless connection, you will need a wi-fi router and the Wi-Fi Transfer app.

Steps to Connect iPhone to iPad using Wi-Fi.

Step 1. Connect both your iPhone and iPad to the same router

Tap on Settings on your iPhone, iPad, go to Wi-Fi, tap to select and connect to your wi-fi network.

Step 2. Run Wi-Fi Transfer app on both iOS devices
Now a wireless connection established between your iPhone and iPad, you can transfer iPhone files over Wi-Fi, transfer files to iPad over Wi-fi, and so on.

Steps to Link iPhone to iPad using Personal Hotspot

Step 1. Launch the Settings App from the Home Screen of your iPhone.
Step 2. Tap on Personal Hotspot. Then toggle Personal Hotspot to “On”
Step 4. On your iPad, launch Settings, then tap on WLAN in the sidebar to join the wireless Network created using the hotspot on iPhone.
