Incompatible Device Error with iOS Video Downloading Download PDF Tutorial

My iPad is running on iOS 5 and my iPhone is running on iOS 6 – when I try to download from iphone to ipad it is saying my device is incompatible – yet I purchased this app as it said it was compatible.

Incompatible Device Error with iOS Video Downloading

Update: The issue has been fixed since Wi-fi Transfer V3.0 with the new added video auto conversion feature!

It should be a hardware restriction on the iPad. By default iPad 1, iPad 2, iPhone 4, iPod 4 only support 1280x720p format video due to Apple’s hardware limitation on these iOS devices. However other iOS models, like iPhone5, iPhone 4S, iPad 4 or iPad Mini, iPad 3, can play 1920x1080p video.

You will be able to transfer 1280x720p videos from an old iOS model to a new model that supports 1920x1080p videos with Wi-Fi transfer app. However it will not work the other way around.

We will improve the wireless transfer app with additional video enhanced features in next upgrade.

Currently iOS 5 users can try to upgrade to iOS 6 if eligible, it may help fix the incompatibility issue. If it is an iPad 2, you can upgrade to iOS 6. However if it is iPad original, you will out of luck. Alternatively you can convert original 1080p videos to 720p then transfer to the iPad 1. You can download iPhone video converter app here.
