To find your computer’s IP address on Windows 8 computers helps ensure your iOS device and PC are connected to the same network for file exchange between your PC computers and iOS devices. You can then use the wireless file exchange app to copy around your files, photos and videos between your Windows 8 computer and iPhone/iPad/iPod through Wi-fi network.

Here’s the steps to find your IP address in Windows 8 PCs. It will be the same whether you are connected via ethenet or wireless. Either way, you can use this method to check out your Windows 8 IP address. Now follow below steps to find your IP address from the Network and Sharing Center on Window 8 OS .

1. Press Windows Key + Q to quickly launch the App Search windows on your Windows 8 system.

2. From the Windows System section, click and enter the Control Panel

3. Now you should see all control panel items listed. Click to open Network and Sharing Center from your Control Panel

4. In the Network and Sharing Center, there will be a View your active networks section. Click on the network name besides the connection. In this case, the current active network name is Local Area Connection. The connection status window now opens.

5. Click Details…. button to enter the Network Connection Details pane.
